While I was catching a nap from my Microbiology mugging, I was woken up by my handphone. My sister called to inform me that Mama (my dad's mum) passed away just now.
I was sitting by my bed. Started to wonder a lot. Heart started to ache a bit. Then pipe burst a bit... I wet my pillow a bit.
When my dad asked me to scan this photo, I'm glad that he did.
Mama has been a wonderful grandma to me. Her way of showing love to me was through food and I grew up enjoy her "Pok Ngi" - hokkien style fried mince meat balls with turnips and carrots. That's her secret weapon.
Whenever she knows that I'm back from Singapore, she will start feeding me with all the goodies. Every morning, she would go Pasar and dabao some kuihs for me while I was in deep sleep. And she would also insist treating me dim sum once in a week.
She had Parkinson's and some other medical complications which back then I do not know. But this was the last photo I took with her. She was not in good shape but still she could happily draw out a cute smile from her face.
I felt my heart ached whenever I see her going through all the needle poking and tablets swallowing. Now that she's gone. I will miss her even more.
While my heart is aching still and there might be a lot of questions, I know that God is my stronghold and He still here and He still remembers me.
"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God."

(the funny thing is that during the breaking of this news, Adrian and Kelvin were knocking at my door after they had come back from collecting sponsored stuff for KEWOC marketing. Haha, anyways, good job KEWOC :D)
