Preparation for GP!!!

Yo... today i had the longest GP consultation in my LIFE... ahah... literally half of a day!!! ahaha.. yeah.. Chee Jun has kindly accepted my request.. considering the fact that his english is of ACS standard and he's got the BRAIN (not limited to only GP but also.. other things..) ahah.. He worked on my inability to choose the RIGHT question for essay.. and yes.. after a day of hard work.. I no longer, as prashanth claims, JUMP EXCITELY into doing the one and only questions without considering the rest!! Hhaha.. besides CJ, there was Cherie too!! helping me to think critically!!! haha.. Thank you CJ and Cherie for all your help and maybe Prash for adding to the noise :P

I am quite exhausted now :S hhahaa.. need sleep!!!! so that tmr i can cheong again!!! I plan to focus on GP for the next few days :)

To all the J2s in Singapore: CHEONG FOR GP :)

Class Outing in the midst of preparation for As!?!?!?!

Oh. yes :) sounds quite fun :) we went to cartel at j8, bishan to celebrate Joceyln's Birthday :) I was dumbfounded when i realised that the camera that i brought ran out of batteries so.. :( no photos here :( Anyway, I went to city hall to shop for her present and yeah..I found her a purple wrist band with the word "princess" and a scripture reference crafted on it ;) haha.. Thank you peck for providing me the info!!

after dinner, as usual, our class lagged around outside the restaurant for about mroe than 10 minutes i guess to decide where to go next! i took this time to look for an atm machine and in the course of waiting, Sia See, Wan Zhen, Alicia and Qi Han went to help directing a blind old lady to a cd shop after witnessing her walking towards a wall before that. I am very touched by the class!! I am happy to see that my classmates are such kind-hearted people and live in action!! haha

we lagged around more in the mall and then we strolled to a C.C. we sat outside there and played Mafia!! our class fav game!! the last time we played was when we send ferdi off haha :)

thens... everyone went home.. I went back with Ferdi and i realised, from him, that he has 2 brothers!! haha.. so random!! shall blog again next time! BYE!

The meaning of Reminiscence

My apologies to those who have taken a great deal of time to load the photos in my blog :P I shall spare you the agony with this post :) I think i truly believe that picture speaks a thousands words, but too many pictures speaks to much :P

My days are mundane... Go school for consultation, then mug in library.. come back.. mug in study room. For a breather, i may come online to chat or watch bleach. Oh man this sucks... I wanna get out of this boarding school and see the world!!! I know my hopes for going overseas to study is in fact getting lower and lower since the first intake for the Australian Universities is in next year Feb. I dun want to start school so early cos I've decided to work as a Teacher Assistant in Chinese High (can't be bother typing the long form of HCI(HSS)) for about 5 months to gain work experience until the term for NUS starts at August.

I'm quite sure that I will stay in NUS already and I hope to pursue Medicine or Dentistry or Pharmacy. If I lack the luck and merit to be accepted into any of the course above... well, I may have other plans... which i have yet to plan! whatever..

Fig 1.0 the current state of my room (hope my mum doesn't see this, if not i'm so gonna-get-it from her :P)

Just now while i was digging for my N2004 Physics paper 3 from all the corners of my room (yes my room is in a mess now - terrible mess), the Verona reflection booklet caught my attention. (a compilation of reflections from the NJ Choristers who went for the Verona Choral competition in April this year) My first reaction to it was to open it and to read every single entry again.. and this gave me another form of understanding to the word reminiscence.

The booklet brought me back to the warmth I used to have from NJChoir. All the good time spent in Verona appeared vividly in front of my eyes. All the gelatos and pastas and singing and fellowship... they are so precious to me.

However, it is very sad, i realised ,only now, that things around me are moving so fast that you do not have time to allow my brain to reflect on events that i have been through in this past 2 years :( and in the course of that, I've lost the ability to treasure them and I have only regained it recently (because of study breaks). that's the not-so-good thing about living in Singapore. I thank God that I am aware of that and I will now take things slowly. The song "Ordinary people" by John Legend struck me a few days ago. (my roommate was playing it so many times that I fell in love with it!!!) The lyrics are so relevent to what I'm trying to say now.

Take it slow...

I hope to take things slowly from now on. I know it can be quite hard because I am so used to this fast-pace lifestyle but it is something that i want to learn.

I think I have grown the most, in terms of maturity, this year. Not that I'm boasting but there are so many things that have happened to me this year. Happy ones, not-so-happy ones. Life is not easy, but I know that God is making it fruitful for me :)

I know that this period is tough for me. 11 days to my first A level paper. Press on... :)

Update 1

wow... have not been updating this blog regularly.. but i forgive myself! in A level mode now.. doing prelim papers like no body's business :P I've been doing a lot of math and bio this week... but i left out bio and physics and most importantly GP, which i failed terribly in my prelims... I'll be seeing Ms. Ho for consultation tmr afternoon .. I hope it rings the dormant bell in me... GP is making me worry SICK! I am so.. EMPTY for GP!!! God help me fill it!!! if not i have nothing to squeeze out during GP exam !!

ranting aside, recently i was entitled the 'chem whore' due to my obsession with taking photos with my camera, be it in the room or in class or in the library.

It was J2 Farewell party last monday. I tried to take picture with everyone in my class :)

*Aaron Gan and RV gang are excellent photo spoilers!!!!!

*I even took a photo with Mrs. Yeo :) so happy!!!
*Ferdi tried very hard to smile like me :)

Upset Stomach and OVERLOAD OF PRELIM PAPERS!

Hellos... I tried blogging 2 days ago!! but darn.. cannot republish.. maybe blogger.com was down or something... to summerise what i tried to blog 2 days ago... I had a 2-dollar worth Hokkien Mee 3 days ago. I finished it. And this was follow by a series of shallow burping, rhythmic contraction of my stomach and the disgusting feeling of bloatedness - the symptoms of indigestion. And this lasted until yesterday!!! Last night at almost 10pm, I was about to go consult a doctor until my Cluster Mentor stop me, telling me that it's too late..... not that i'm gonna die but most clinics are closed :P... haha.. so i heed his advice and took some ??? (Feng Sha Wan) (not Yuan, i notice almost all Singaporeans like to pronounce ? as yuan, so unCHINA :P) .. and wow it worked :) i'm quite ok now... :) RAWR!

All my tutors, aside from Mrs. Yeo (chem teacher), have printed this year's prelim papers for us to "try".. and Bio was the most outstanding pile among the piles :) we've spent more than 13 bucks just for printing bio papers!! :) talking about saving trees!!

Oh wells.. few more weeks to go :) better MUG up!!!

UPSET STOMACH!

I had a 2 dollar worth of Hokkien Mee for lunch this afternoon and the result is:

- bloated stomach
- occasional contraction of the stomach (like got baby kicking me in the stomach)
- occasional shallow burping
- constipation
- slight urge to vomit

I HATE THIS KIND OF FEELING!!! It's like.. SO WEIRD. It's not painful but it troubles me!! Is it gastric flu since this flu bug is around? or is it just simple indigestion?

Joke for the intellectuals

This particular joke won an award for the best joke in a competition> >organized in Britain. Now we see who's the practical one! Enjoy! :D

An MBA and an Engineer went on a camping trip. They set up their tent, and soon fell asleep.

Some hours later, the Engineer woke his MBA friend and said,

"Look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

The MBA replied, "I see millions of stars."

The Engineer asked, "So.... what does that tell you?"

The MBA pondered for a minute. Wanting to prove his resourcefulness, he replied the
following

"Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets."

"Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo."

"Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three

"Theologically, it is evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant."

"Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow."

"What does it tell you?" asked the MBA, proud that he could interpret it in so many ways.

The Engineer friend was silent for a moment, then replied,

"Practically... Someone has stolen our tent".

Should we go to prison?

IN PRISON......you spend the majority of your time in a 10X10 cell.
AT WORK........you spend the majority of your time in an 8X8 cubicle.

IN PRISON.......you get three meals a day.
AT WORK.........you get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it.

IN PRISON..........you get time off for good behavior.
AT WORK............you get more work for good behavior.

IN PRISON..........the guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK............you're often required to carry a security card and open all the doors yourself.

IN PRISON.........you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK........... you get fired for watching TV and playing games.

IN PRISON........you get your own toilet.
AT WORK..........you share the toilet with some people who pee on the seat.

IN PRISON..........they allow your family and friends to visit.
AT WORK............you're not supposed to even speak to your family.

IN PRISON.........all expenses are paid by the taxpayers. AT WORK...........you pay all your expenses to get to work, and then they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.

IN PRISON ........you must deal with sadistic wardens.
AT WORK...........they're called managers.

IN PRISON.....you spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out.
AT WORK ......you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.
