Yo hoo.. it's been a VERY VERY VERY LONG time since i last blogged (about half a year?).. wow that's disgusting. but oh well. Year 2 is busier than expected..
Just as you may have known, i joined my choir on a trip to Verona, Italy from 17/4 to 24/4 :) for an international choral competition. This is my first trip to a European country and i tell you it's the best trip that i have ever been..
The land of pasta, pizza and gelato . that's how my ah ma lee min describe the land of Italy. After a painful journey of about 14 to 16 hours by Thai airways (most of the time i spent watching movies and sleeping.. MIss Lim demanded us to sleep immediately after dinner and asked all the com members to PATROL to ensure that their members are sleeping), my choir reached Milano-Melpensa airport. I could feel the significance difference in the temperature of the air ... it was COOL!! can see fog coming out of our mouths the moment we talk or breathe. but sadly that was the only time that i witness such phenomena :( but oh well moving on....
The custom was full of people upon our entry (duh there are 50+ of us) haa... everyone was estatic!! as if jet lag has not bothered us at all... which reminds me of a choir of muppets :P but i can only sense the muppetness in their hearts, not physically visible. We can;t afford to exhibit our NJ rahrahness and brainlessness in that place! haa.. if not Miss Lim, Miss Teo and perhaps maybe Mr. Chia may digest ALL of us!!! As soon as we were out of the airport, we were led into a bus by Zwannette our local tour guide :) she's a very nice LADY!!! aha... she led all the muppets into the bus. Another thing i notice is that all the guys(including myself of course :P) are very ZI DONG, (takes initiative) .. cos all of them volunteered themselves to transfer all our luggages into the bus, which i find it delightful. All the girls in the choir should consider themselves lucky :P
Milan is a nice place. Many ancient buildings lying around. haha... Andrew was crazy over that place because on that day there is a soccer competition btw A.C. Milan and BArcelona. haha... he went to buy a AC milan jersey and a scraf-like momento for the event. ahha.. and i didn't buy anything :P oh well... what i dun like italy is that most of the people there SMOKE.. everywhere i go.. i see smokers... it was terrible and i felt disgusted to see even young ladies smoking away through their lives. and terrible enough, i saw cigarettes vending machine too... pity them. ohya. i was in my group.. togheter with Chu wen, Claudia and Andrew.
hmm... shall continue my story in italy tmr :P
